The Design
“Could this be any more Churchmouse?”
The beloved is essentially one long, stockinette stitch rectangle—a great starting point for lots of variation! Using our original pattern and a free adaptation, we’ve added a ribbed cowl neck to this timeless favorite. It’s perfect for a bit of extra coziness!
We knit this Easy Folded Poncho in a tweedy, black shade of Rowan . This DK-weight yarn is a fascinating blend of South African mohair and super-fine alpaca, supported by polyamide, cotton, and polyester. All along its bouncy, chainette-style strand, contrasting flecks of fiber peek out of a romantic, fuzzy halo. Warm and sooo soft, Fine Tweed Haze is such a fun yarn—and perfect for a cuddly poncho!
